Enhanced Midlayer with Improved Fit
The second generation of the Mid Insulation Hoody builds on the proven midlayer and remains part of the DNS Alpha Law Enforcement series. Designed for law enforcement personnel who find the Heavy Insulation Hoody too heavy and the Light Insulation Hoody not warm enough, the Mid Insulation Hoody offers an ideal balance between weight and warmth with its thoughtful design.
Temperature Management
The DNS Alpha Mid Insulation Hoody is designed for temperature ranges around 0°C and can be optimized in its performance depending on the choice of the base layer combined with it.
Durable Outer Layer and Water-Repellent Insulation
The Mid Insulation Hoody from DNS Alpha combines an outer layer of mechanically textured polyamide 6.6, known for its durability and elasticity, with a long-lasting, water-repellent polyester insulation. These materials together provide high resistance, freedom of movement, and excellent thermal performance at minimal weight, making the hoody perfect for harsh environments and cold, wet conditions.
Breathable and Windproof Lining
The lining fabric is made of highly breathable and windproof polyamide. This material allows for effective moisture regulation, creating a pleasant microclimate inside the hoody. Additionally, it offers wind protection, enhancing heat retention and increasing comfort
Mobility and Comfort
The stretch construction in the back area ensures maximum freedom of movement, which is particularly important in tactical operations requiring unrestricted flexibility. Light and comfortable Lycra at the sleeve cuffs increases abrasion resistance and extends the lifespan of the hoody.
Practical Features and Protection

Differences from the First Generation
In the second generation of the hoody, the overall circumference of the jacket has been reduced by about 2cm to achieve an even better fit when layering. Additionally, the volume of the hood has been adjusted in larger sizes, resulting in an improved fit as well.
