The Black Trident Thor Holster is compatible with all Red Dot optics available on the market! Even optics like the slightly forward-standing Trijicon SRO fit perfectly.Threaded barrels and compensators
The Thor OWB Holster is manufactured with an open-muzzle design. This allows attachments longer than the weapon itself to fit well. Please note that you may need a longer version of the actual holster to optimally protect the threaded barrel of your weapon. For example, a Glock 17 with a threaded barrel ideally needs a Glock 34 holster!Use with gloves
The design of the Thor Holster is entirely optimized for use with gloves. Despite wearing tactical gloves, the Thor Holster guarantees a full grip pattern – there is about 30mm of space between the holster edge and the grip.Level 1 holster
The Thor Holster is a so-called Level 1 holster. This means that the weapon is held in the holster purely by the draw resistance, which is built up over the surface pressure on the contours or surfaces of the weapon. Please note that the Thor Holster does not have an additional thumb safety! If you primarily find yourself in situations where you might risk having your weapon taken by others, please switch to a holster with additional safety.Construction and mounting
The Black Trident Thor Holster features a sophisticated drilling system. Quick-change systems like the Blade-Tech TMMS or the Safariland QLS system can be mounted between the holster and the mounting platform, allowing quick changes between different holsters or weapon systems.
In general, there are High-ride (belt height), Mid-ride (offset about 10cm down from the belt edge), and Low-ride (just above the knee).
The Thor Holster is compatible with a variety of popular carrying systems such as Safariland QLS, Blackhawk, Blade-Tech, or G-Code!Abrasion and retention points
At certain points on the weapon or attachments, abrasion marks can occur due to the contours of the holster where surface pressure builds up.
